Easily retrofit ICS for powered tools

The reCool system directs oil and emulsions directly into the drilling and milling tool.

At AMB in Stuttgart, Rego-Fix will be exhibiting its reCool retrofit system for internal coolant supply (ICS). It is designed to be fitted to tool stations for powered tools on proven turret and sliding headstock automatic lathes and on machining centres. It is used to feed oil and emulsion through the standard collet used to clamp the rotating tool, into the internal cooling channels. This system can be used to perform custom conversions in no time of individual tool stations from an external to an internal coolant supply.

The reCool retrofit system is suitable for cooling oil and emulsion at pressures up to 100 bar, optional up to 150 bar. It works consistently and reliably at up to 12,000 rpm1. Variants are also available for ERM 16, ERM 20 and ERM 25 clamping nuts.

 

An internal coolant supply offers numerous benefits, especially for machining with powered drilling and milling tools. The coolant, supplied at high pressure, easily flushes the chips out of the cutting edge, particularly from deep bores or slots. This avoids edge breakage, minimises tool wear and thereby ensures high process reliability. The cutting edges are reliably cooled. Even for different machining operations, for example milling on surfaces and in deep pockets or slots, the coolant always reaches reliably into the cutting edges.
